Fair Lending Policy

It is our policy to comply with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Fair Housing Act, as well as state laws that provide greater protection. Loan Factory does not discriminate against any applicant on any basis prohibited by law, and does not discourage anyone on a prohibited basis from applying.

We do not vary the terms of a loan — amount, interest rate, period, or type — on a prohibited basis.
We avoid practices or policies that have a discriminatory effect, even if unintended or seemingly neutral.
We use nondiscriminatory underwriting standards, made public on request, and an empirically derived, statistically sound scoring system.
We train loan personnel in fair processing and underwriting, and our Quality Control Manager regularly reviews standards and practices.
5

California Fair Lending Notice

Under the Housing Financial Discrimination Act of 1977, it is illegal to discriminate in the provision of or availability of financial assistance based on the neighborhood or geographic area surrounding a housing accommodation (unless required to avoid an unsafe and unsound business practice), or based on race, color, religion, sex, marital status, national origin, or ancestry.

These provisions govern financial assistance for the purchase, construction, rehabilitation, or refinancing of owner-occupied one- to four-unit family residences and for home improvement of any such residence. If you have questions about your rights or wish to file a complaint, contact the management of this institution or the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation.

6

Procedures for obtaining a loan

To help prevent fraud and assist the government in fighting the funding of terrorism and money-laundering activities, we obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who applies for or obtains a mortgage loan.

What this means for you

When you apply for or obtain a mortgage loan, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other identifying information. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
